Police dog training schools a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required to work as a dog trainer. Our police k9 instructor courses also teach aspects of police k9 supervision and management in addition to the other facets of training dogs and handlers. Police k9 handler training courses our training methods are innovative and up to date and we teach handlers not only how to effectively handle their police dog but we ensure they have a solid comprehension of how the dog was trained. Our program will teach you how to effectively work with dogs of all types.

Masterdog training was founded over 20 years ago based on military dog training principles so we know protection dog training inside and out. Before a handler can start working with a dog as an official police dog the dog must pass the normative police test or can be bought fully prepared from master dog training. A k9 officer and his or her dog should undergo lessons in maintaining the police dog normative once a week. While some employers may offer on the job training there are programs available.
